On Domains: What The Heck Happened To e & i?
Thursday, November 01, 2007
Remember all the ethis.com and ithat.com domains of a few years ago? What happened to those?
Just a few years ago, any word that began with an e (for electronic) or i (for internet) was super hot. Now, if you use the auction list at the recent T.R.A.F.F.I.C. domain auction in Miami (technically Hollywood, FL) as an example, they are nowhere to be found. Domaineer owns numerous e and i domains, as seen in its domain portfolio list. But take a look at the list. Notice anything? None of the e or i domains have sold. Not one! What happened? I suspect these will come back in vogue, in time, likely not much. Frankly I'm surpised they fell out of vogue at all. Time will tell? Anybody else notice this? Any thoughts on it?
