Spanish Bay Resort is located on Spanish Lookout Caye, a secluded private island located at the southern tip of the Drowned Cayes. It is approximately 10 miles East-Southeast of Belize City, protected by the Belize Barrier Reef which is the second largest barrier reef system in the world. The environment is home to many marine birds, manatees and dolphins. The resort property, all six cabanas and bar, are constructed on pilings over the sea, approximately 100 feet from the island. This is enhanced by spacious land on the island proper. The beach is basically turtle grass and common seaweed, which attracts marine life and makes the resort set over a huge natural aquarium.
